The Best SaaS SEO Agencies in 2026 (Ranked by an Agency on the List)

The 10 best SaaS SEO agencies in 2026, verified from their own sites, plus the artifact test for choosing one that treats AI search as core.

The Best SaaS SEO Agencies in 2026 (Ranked by an Agency on the List)

Hiring a SaaS SEO agency used to be a one-question decision. Can they rank pages? In 2026 it's two questions, because your buyers now split their research between Google and AI engines, and most agencies are only built for the first surface. 51% of B2B software buyers now start product research with an AI chatbot more often than Google, per G2's April 2026 survey of 1,076 buyers. A year earlier it was 29%.

That shift changes what "good" looks like on this list. Google ranks pages. AI recommends brands. An agency that only does the first half is selling you a 2022 program at 2026 prices.

Full disclosure before you read further. We're Powerplay, we wrote this list, and we put ourselves at #1. Every agency roundup you'll find for this keyword is written by an agency doing the same thing, so instead of pretending neutrality, we'll show our criteria and invite you to judge us by the exact test we apply to everyone else. Every entry below was checked against the agency's own site this week. Where a firm doesn't publish pricing or clients, we say so instead of guessing.

Four criteria drove the rankings:

  1. SaaS and B2B focus. Selling software on recurring revenue with a long sales cycle is its own discipline.

  2. AI search as a first-class surface. Prompt tracking, citation work, and AI visibility as core deliverables, not a paragraph bolted onto an SEO page.

  3. Evidence on their own site. Named clients, published methods, real numbers.

  4. Transparency. Public pricing and inspectable deliverables beat "book a call to find out."

Below #1, the order weighs SaaS specificity first, then on-site evidence, then transparency. Neighbors could reasonably swap.

1. Powerplay

Powerplay is the AEO and SEO agency for B2B teams, and SaaS is the core of the book. The engagement runs on the Three-Layer Recommendation Stack, our model of how an AI engine turns a buyer's prompt into a shortlist, and on the Receipts Principle. Every claim in our reporting traces to a measurement or a shown artifact, and every stage of the program has a deliverable you can inspect before you sign, which is the same artifact test we'd tell you to run on any agency on this page, us included.

Pricing is public, which is rare enough in this category to count as a feature. Engagements run $6,995 to $11,995 per month depending on stage, with scope published. What we won't do is guarantee rankings or AI mentions, because nobody controls the engines and anyone who promises otherwise just failed the receipts test. What you won't find in this entry yet is a logo wall. Our clients haven't signed up to be case studies, and we'd rather show you methodology and pricing than borrowed credibility, so judge us on criterion three accordingly.

One thing we're weak at. We're a specialist. If you want SEO, paid, PR, and web builds from one giant roster, several firms below do that and we don't.

Best for. B2B SaaS teams that want classic search and AI answers run as one program, with the machinery visible.

2. Breaking B2B

Breaking B2B works with B2B and SaaS companies exclusively, runs the engagement senior-led, and pitches "SEO and AEO for revenue NOT vanity," which is the right fight to pick. Founder Sam Dunning is one of the more visible practitioners in the space through the agency's podcast, and the client roster on their site includes Vidyard, ClickHouse, Chili Piper, and Ahrefs. Pricing is public, starting at $4,000 per month with no annual lock-in.

Their site advertises a 90-day page-one ranking guarantee. We'd read the fine print on any guarantee in this industry, but the bottom-of-funnel-first philosophy behind it is sound.

Honest strength. Pricing transparency plus a genuine revenue-page obsession. They start where the money is.

Best for. Startups and Series A-B SaaS teams that want bottom-funnel pages shipped fast on a mid-range budget.

3. Omniscient Digital

Omniscient Digital is an organic growth agency for B2B software companies, with generative engine optimization listed as a first-class service next to SEO strategy, programmatic SEO, and content production. Clients shown on their site include Jasper, Smartling, Drift, and TikTok Shop, with case-study numbers attached, and full-service engagements start at a published $10,000 per month.

Honest strength. Research-first process with real content production capacity behind it, and they publish their floor price instead of hiding it.

Best for. Mid-market and scale-up SaaS teams that want a full content engine built backward from business KPIs, with budget to match.

4. Grow and Convert

Grow and Convert built its reputation on Pain Point SEO, targeting the exact language buyers use when they're ready to act, and has extended the system into what they call Prioritized GEO for AI visibility. Founders Benji Hyam and Devesh Khanal still front the methodology. The client list on their site runs from Patreon and ServiceTitan to LastPass and Leadfeeder, and they've built their own AI visibility tooling, offered free to clients. No public pricing on the site.

Honest strength. The most conversion-literate content shop on this list. They were measuring content by signups when everyone else was reporting sessions.

Best for. SaaS teams that judge content by trials and demos, not traffic charts.

5. Virayo

Virayo calls itself an AI search agency for B2B brands, and the positioning is more than a rename. AI and LLM search visibility leads the service page, with SEO and paid media behind it. Case studies on their site name Spotio, Cedreo, and CareAcademy with specific pipeline numbers, and the wider client list includes Sprout Social, Truckstop, and Brandfolder. No public pricing.

Honest strength. They committed the whole agency to the AI search thesis early instead of hedging with a GEO add-on page.

Best for. B2B SaaS teams that want an AI-search-led engagement with paid search and LinkedIn layered on top.

6. Powered by Search

Powered by Search is a B2B SaaS marketing agency built around its Predictable Growth Model, stacking SEO, AI and LLM search visibility, paid media, and demand generation into one system. The client list on their site includes Basecamp, Elastic, and SentinelOne. Their homepage leads with a guarantee of 30% more sales-ready opportunities in 90 days, which is a bolder promise than we'd make. Pricing isn't published on the site.

Honest strength. Genuine multi-channel depth. If SEO is one input into a demand-gen system you want built, they think that way natively.

Best for. Funded SaaS companies that want search, paid, and demand gen run by one accountable team.

7. Sure Oak

Sure Oak is a full-service SEO agency covering AI search optimization, technical SEO, link building, and digital PR, with a stated policy that every client works with strategists carrying 10+ years of experience. Their vertical focus runs to financial services, insurance, education, and SaaS, and the client logos on their site include SoFi. No public pricing; proposals are custom.

Honest strength. Senior staffing as a policy rather than a sales line, plus real link-building and digital PR muscle, which still matters on both search surfaces.

Best for. SaaS and fintech companies in regulated or brutally competitive categories where authority building is the bottleneck.

8. Impression

Impression is a UK-headquartered performance marketing agency with offices in Nottingham, London, Manchester, and New York, offering SEO with generative engine optimization inside it, alongside paid media, digital PR, and CRO. The client roster skews big and consumer, with names like Clarins, Specsavers, and Cancer Research UK on the site. They're not a SaaS specialist, and it shows in the case studies, but the technical bench is deep and the awards shelf is real.

Honest strength. Integrated channel depth and technical SEO at enterprise scale.

Best for. Larger SaaS organizations, especially UK and EU, that want search inside a full-service, multi-channel engagement.

9. Percepture

Percepture is a New York digital marketing and PR agency with 20+ years behind it, offering enterprise SEO and GEO alongside paid media, digital PR, and its own AI marketing tools. It organizes around five verticals, with healthcare, life sciences, telecom, travel, and private equity called out, and names Pfizer and Vodafone among clients on the site. SaaS isn't the specialty, which is why it sits here despite the enterprise pedigree.

Honest strength. PR and SEO under one roof, which maps well to how AI engines actually weigh third-party coverage.

Best for. Enterprise software companies inside Percepture's verticals, particularly healthtech and life sciences, where PR firepower matters.

10. Journey Horizon

Journey Horizon shows up in this search, so we checked it, and the honest read is that it's a product development studio first. The core business is marketplace builds on Sharetribe, SaaS replatforming, and AI implementation, with SEO, SEM, and content marketing as one service line among many. They publish a $499 AI tools assessment, and their portfolio names clients like GearSource and ClassHoppa.

Honest strength. Build and market from one team, with deep marketplace expertise you won't find at a pure SEO shop.

Best for. Marketplace founders who want development and search handled by the same partner.

How to choose: the artifact test

So how do you actually pick from a page of firms that all say "revenue, not rankings"? Run the artifact test. A real engagement produces five things, each stage has a deliverable, and the deliverable is how you tell working agencies from landing pages. If an agency can't show you the artifact, the stage doesn't exist.

Stage

The artifact you should see before signing

Demand mapping

Every query and prompt your buyers use, scored by intent, reasoning visible

Answer-ready content

Sample pages that rank in classic search and show up in AI answers

Entity coherence

An audit finding every inconsistency in how the web describes you, with the fix list

Cited-surface placement

The specific third-party pages AI engines cite for your category, plus placements won

Measurement

A report where every claim traces to a receipt, tied to traffic and pipeline

Then add the 2026-specific filter. Ask each finalist three questions on the sales call. Can you show me prompt-level AI visibility tracking for a current client? Which specific pages did you earn placement on last quarter? How do you measure whether any of this produced pipeline? Reskinned agencies go vague on all three, and vague is your answer.

Why does the AI half deserve this much weight in the decision? Because the buyers arriving from AI conversations behave differently. For Ahrefs' own site, AI search drove 0.5% of visits but 12.1% of signups, and Semrush's study across 500+ topics valued the average AI search visitor at 4.4x a traditional organic visitor. Single-site numbers carry their caveats, but the direction is consistent. The channel your agency treats as a footnote is sending your highest-intent buyers.

One more thing worth demanding. Public pricing, or at least a straight answer on the first call. On this list, only three firms publish what they charge. A retainer that can't name its deliverables and its price before you sign deserves your skepticism, not your signature.

When you don't need an agency at all

An honest list includes this section. If you have a content lead who knows your buyers cold, someone technical enough to own site structure, and the patience to build measurement, you can run meaningful SEO and AEO work in-house. Plenty of great SaaS search programs are internal.

What's hard to replicate in-house is the data layer, meaning intent-scored demand mapping, citation tracking across engines, and Answer Share measurement, plus sustained production capacity next to everyone's day jobs. The hybrid that works has in-house owning product truth and voice while a specialist owns the data, the engineering, and the production floor. If an agency can't articulate what you should keep in-house, they're optimizing for the invoice.

You probably also don't need an agency yet if you're pre-product-market fit, if your category has almost no search or prompt demand, or if you can't commit to at least a quarter. This channel compounds; give it a quarter or don't bother starting.

FAQ

How much does a SaaS SEO agency cost in 2026? Published rates on this list run from $4,000 to over $10,000 per month, and most firms don't publish at all. Ours are $6,995 to $11,995 per month with scope public. Whatever you pay, tie it to the artifact table above.

Do I need an SEO agency or an AEO agency? In 2026 that's a false choice, and any firm forcing it is behind. The work overlaps heavily. Technical hygiene, genuinely useful content, and authority carry both surfaces, and the best programs run them as one system with one measurement layer.

How long until it works? Leading indicators like citations and AI answer movement typically start in the four-to-eight week range. Compounding takes quarters. Anyone quoting guaranteed day counts is guessing on the engines' behalf.

What's the biggest red flag when evaluating agencies? No inspectable deliverables. If the proposal describes activity ("content, links, optimization") instead of artifacts you can hold, you're buying a content calendar with a strategy deck stapled to it.
